i have been the MOST inactive deviant in the last few years.
i haven't really earned that "senior member" bit.
but... after going to an anime convention this weekend (colossalcon in ohio) i feel motivated to start creating art for myself again, and not just for work.
work art can be the MOST boring thing in the world.
i'm going to be making more things with my hands, as well
more steampunk stuff.
i'm going to make a kigurumi or two.
(or... who knows... more, maybe.)
i've always liked dressing up.
cons remind me of that.
anyways.
i have work to do.
so i should probably get back to it.
if anybody wants to recommend me a good anime

so dear old dA.. it's been a long time since i actually spent some time with you.
apparently my last journal was last summer before i went on tour...
and now i've just come back from the second of this summer's tours.
anyways... i plan on visiting more often and even commenting when the time allows.
we'll see how this works out.
if all goes well... i might even start writing poetry again. (since dA was such a wealth of inspiration before...)

hey you, long time no chat...how are you doing?
trying to scrape by.
designing websites and various and sundry other things.
and trying to write enough to occupy (a minimum) of three bands.

Are you in three different bands? Or just for lyrical hire? Either way, lucky them.
These days I'm living and working in Dallas, Texas. Training to become a Midwife - and working on a website for that, so it got my creative juices flowing - hence the return to dA. I'm not sure if I'll get re-invested like I was, but it's great to come back and check in with people. We should connect in the real world.

well, i play guitar and am the primary vocalist in one band.
i play bass and electronics in an instrumental band (which is losing one member, so there's only two of us now)
i write solo material (and sometimes play as a three-piece)
and we're trying to get another band off the ground (haven't had a chance to match everybody's schedule's up just yet. so writing has happened, but haven't actually gotten together to play yet.)
i keep trying to return to dA. it definitely works for inspiration, if nothing else. haven't had a lot of time to much writing other than the lyrical variety. most of my time is either spent on music or doing design for work. luckily business has picked up a bit lately.
