open wounds

press the flesh
and re-open the wound
once healed
ripped apart by tearing fingers
uncontrollable
cannot shut my mouth
i seek release
trivialize what once was
caught up in the fog of memory
reaching
grasping
shapes of truth just beyond my
fingertips
fading into the wound
pull apart
flesh and bone
let the blood flow
words cut
slice
make a mockery of their maker
thrown like knives
unheeded
into the darkness
to destroy
accident of
game of chance
i speak the things that hurt
twisted smile
you turn away
while on the inside
my heart bleeds for the travesty
that i have caused
