remembering when

i move the half full bottles of water
      setting them on the desktop
to take down the worn photo album
turning pages slowly
watching myself
      getting older
      growing colder

turning on through my broken relationships
      page after page
one smiling face becomes another
as time paces on
watching myself
      becoming me
      transforming reality

and there you are
      (we are)
the way that we once were
so happy
so full of life
      (ignore the hollowness inside)

and i close these pages of my life
      replace the broken binding
back behind the half full bottles of water

My distorted vision of beauty is realised in you
The grace that I perceived to be yours
Thundered down upon my gaze
Gleeful, radiant and elegant
But now,
I choke.

Ill advised was I to ignore your calls
Bitter and wanton in the cascaded moonbeams
I still hear them now
Like swelling vibrato in my head.
And I may just cut them out.

So your frivalous nature and promiscuity get the better of you,
I see you how I imagine the countless souls youve left behind
Wasting and rotting in their own remorse
Tasting regret, like your tongue bleeding in their mouths.
In mine....

My own face has begun to feel like someone elses
And in
WRECKreation

When you were young daddy
Would always say not to take these.
Son he said,
These will wreck your life.
But not this life daddy,
This bottle holds the answers to this dull self portrait
And the key to its restoration.

The first step of this journey is a long one,
A couple yards or so,
so take it before you have to relearn how to walk. God knows I won't teach you.

Walk through a square room that functions like a circle
And takes its radius
musemuse

I know
the muse has arrived, when
slim pen quivers over creamy paper, and
one drop of ink gathers at the tip
elongates, curves, and pulls away
forming one slender thread, shimmering
gleaming black beneath ivory moonshine
feathering into trails of silver gossamer;
eluding grasping fingers, sailing whitely
through awaiting window on wide wings of night-wind
to meet sleeping world beneath dark wash of sky.

Listen; you will
Catch on bushes; spread
across pale-veined leaves, veil
drooping bells of golden flowers; drift
lazily past twining creepers, trap
snowflakes and dewdrop
and if i leave--and if I leave,...

When
sharp fingertips of low palm-leaves
again fall onto my face;
and sea-salt's tang fills the air,
I think, perhaps; that I shall know
you are not far away.

believe me,
that we shall meet
where
tender breezes flick and quiver;
where pale dunes sleep, and
dreams lie deep,
and willows weep forever.

think of me, as I think of you
one second, and we wander
back through halcyon memories
unsullied by this future--
though seasons wither, and summers fade,
you know I still hold dear
shivered shards of those lost years
till we come to piece them together.

rust worn by the motion of life.

Wind Tunnel Effect

Filtered wind columns jutting out
Through shattered windows and
Sterile offices, eyes watching the world
And waiting.
Blissful cacophony lost
In the subtlety of conformity, expertly
Recorded in text books
That don't harvest the looks of a society that
Despises them.

Deflower the flowered
And caress the silken petals as
They fall to the floor in melodic
Song, soft tunes echoing through
Huge arches.

Catch the apple of my eye
And cast it into the jet stream
With empty fists and a heart the
Size of the recommended toothpaste
Dosage for children under six.

Careless, and with a pinch of ambivalence
Eternal Glow
Eternal Glow

Shattered to feel,
To lie upon the pieces of eternal sorrow
And weep in the night until tomorrow.
This candle was blown out when he felt her go.
Of when, of if she would return he would never know.
This eternal glow,
Gone from this still life of beauty that once
Was complete.

Her silent empathy, her vivacious existence,
Would forever haunt his admittance
Into the room
Where he fondly feels her there beside him..
He can almost taste her lips,
Her scent of lilacs in a bath of rose petals.
He can feel her touch transcending
The windy gusts that rush into his lungs
At midnight.

But he is not afraid
Of this darknes
a musicians lament

i can hear it in my head
      rising and falling
      crescendo
             accelerando
      quickening and slowing
the strings picking at my heart
with each bending tone

and i sing along with the melody of time
this dirge of regret
      ringing with pain
striking the chord
      and making me remember
each painful note
      bleeding through
filling my thoughts with visions of yesterday
each downbeat a deathknell
      resounding deep inside this hollow frame

no way to stop these feelings
this rising flood of sound that builds within my brain
bringing back the memories
      the hopes

A lonely pink flower blooms at the

blueskyed greensea combined
colors still could not reach the
dark, cool shadows inside our
treehouse. Filtered gently through
aged bamboo reeds, finger shafts
of light streamed into the air,
dancing dust particles as they
dotted the floor, the mats, our
bodies, making love.

Silence was broken only by his
whispers and the palm trees
gently guiding sea breezes into
our hideaway. They waved long
fronds gathering seawashed
air, as if their only purpose
was to cool us...

I listen now to his breathing
as he sleeps peacefully
beside me. Quietly and slowly
I slip inside the crook of
his arm. I met him
My Memories Live In Thee

If it wasn't for the life overflowing,
the inherent beauty overflowing
of life lived in this town, I would
have never known the feeling
of a forgotten tomorrow,
the dreams of souls other than mine.

If it was not for the hopes, the castles
we prayed for, we would still be
sitting in this reality, an
alternate reality we called it as
we dreamt of life outside these walls
that seemed to shrink with each year.

The trees abated in size as we only
augmented in maturity,
we grew among the maple trees
and they only watched as we fell
and got right back up into the world.

The imagination we now leave upon th

twilight's shadows fall upon my face
tears fall gently to the ground

justification for my actions
my sins
my crimes
doesn't seem to come
the immortal god looks down upon me
i try and hide beneath his gaze
under those shadows which cloak my soul

try and not to feel pity for me

questions that perhaps will haunt you

The water is very still now,
So calm as the moon flows gently
On its surface.
I'd think I was sinning should I disturb it,
But I do anyway.
After all, why should I care?
Nothing cares for me...

The water is admittedly beautiful
In its calm, but the soft
Ripples of my subtle movements
Create a glorious ripple in the artic frigidity,
A ripple I wish I could appreciate.
Everything is a silhouette here
And now, even me.
Only the moon, the silhouette
Giver,
Is free of its own shadow.
But is that really true..?

I've never been happy you know,
Whatever that means anyway.
I doubt I'd really know.

moonlit dreams

illumined in the moon's gaze
i can feel you here beside me
as the big dipper tips down
and sprinkles drops of rain on my upturned face
washing clean these memories
your arms circling my consciousness
       (parenthetical)
and pulling my heart towards yours

these dreams of you are haunting me
in these starlit summer nights
as breezes bring rememberance
and warm winds cool my furrowed brows
i close my eyes and take in sights that cannot be seen
the outline of your face in my mind's eye
just beyond my reach

if wishes were stars,
you would be here
and the night would be like morning
shining warm here in my arms
with the rising of the sun

i must admit that this is my first collaboration ever. i was surprised the other night when euphoria im-ed me with the proposition, and i decided to take her up on it. so here is the result... i wasn't sure whether to put this in romantic or emotional...so obviously i picked emotional.

I'm sure after all these comments you're aware that your poem is amazing..so me saying that it is once more will most likely only be beating a dead horse..but it is amazing and i do love it, esp this line "i close my eyes and take in sights that cannot be seen"
