merely living
you dance
spinning
whirling
in a frenzy of colored lights
glowing
bright halos
twirling orbs in your hands
while the guys in the corner inhale
unattentive
(melting)
but it's o.k.
that's cool these days
and maybe if you drink enough
prostrate body
passed out on the floor
in the morning
maybe
you'll forget
this meaningless existence
wishing
this meant something more
but there is nothing more
shallow
hollow
merely existing
and not really living
if this is what you call living
stupor
mumbling
while your brains spins
dancing
with a bitter beast
trying to forget
and trying to remember
what it was like
to really live
