moonlit dreams

illumined in the moon's gaze
i can feel you here beside me
as the big dipper tips down
and sprinkles drops of rain on my upturned face
washing clean these memories
your arms circling my consciousness

and pulling my heart towards yours

these dreams of you are haunting me
in these starlit summer nights
as breezes bring rememberance
and warm winds cool my furrowed brows
i close my eyes and take in sights that cannot be seen
the outline of your face in my mind's eye
just beyond my reach

if wishes were stars,
you would be here
and the night would be like morning
shining warm here in my ar

upon the precipice
of wire and hanging garden
in the drunkeness of midnight
      object of his intentions
and sweeping golden curls from about her face
he speaks meaningless
      caressing her heart with empty words
there upon the tower

      a moon of gold observing
      casting only shadows
gazing down
      upon the lovers' minstrations

alone she stood
high above existence
age-worn flesh wounds
      binding shut her mouth
dancing solemn insecurity
she waves her arms about the sky
      darkness illumined cold
her dress floating about her

but careful the words you choose
lest the phrase become liquid
      my gazing pool
man-made personal narcissus
      caught within my own reflection
until my figure
      crafted of stone
sits silent by the pool

my pen
      lodged silently
      within my marble grasp
empty words unfurled
unravelling beneath me

my tablet
has long since faded
      beneath decay
      of leaf and vine
empty words
      palpable
      rising
to a barren sky

call me the intellectual writer
but careful the words you choose
lest my ego feed upon each phrase

in flowing colours

spin and twist

and the glow of a thousand lights
      pictured starry night
shifting
      sky uplifting
crashing headlong into
      space
      and time
freefall
      through word
      and rhyme

it's just a dream

i am accosted
by the images of former lovers
standing in front of me
      dark forms
waving accusing fingers
telling me i am a fool
and behind them
      raging technicolour
the images of them and their new loves

melissa and jason
      standing atop a grassy knoll
fireworks at twilight
      arm in arm
and mouth to mouth
they celebrate independence

kristen and teddy
      curled up outside
in each other's arms
      staring at the sky
and dreaming of the future
as the night explodes with colour

kelly and jason
      the sand between their toes
as she leans back against his frame

my gf and i did this design ... getting ready for tour in ten days...

hopefully we'll have time to print them before we head out (that's the plan anyways)

she drew the walrus... i did the tusk lettering...
and then put the whole thing on the computer and did all the colouring and background and what-not.

she preferred the pink walrus instead of brown (i must admit... it's growing on me)
