he sits alone
in the empty coffeehouse down on the corner
     (by maple and center street)
half asleep -
half awake
his cup cooling with every metronomic tick
head rested on the formica tabletop
     listening to \'light\' jazz
like the noise they play in elevators
for business men on windy days
hiding from reality (responsibility)

the breeze from the open window
     or perhaps the opening door
jars him slightly and makes him wonder
what the taste of morning might be like
why is it that words grow wings
     take flight upon empty pages
and still
     say nothing at all

and he wonders

this little monstrosity was also drawn completely by me.
well... all right.

i drew the bubbly lettering and STARTED drawing the robot, only to realize.. "hey, i can do this on the computer and actually get straight lines like i want" so... turned it over to the computer then.

this is for another local band, obviously called blood brings faith
