Angel Lullabyrest your cheek on linen  and slowly close your eyes  fold your wings around you  with the sound of angel sighs   
let me tell you stories  of castles, knights and kings  dragons killed and glory won  and the truth that honor brings   
smile for me with sleepy gaze  and let me touch your hair  I'll wonder at its orange-blond shade  and your porcelain skin so fair   
dream of all that you could be  when your angel wings are grown  and someday you will see yourself  what I have always known

one wingi strapped the wing  of the flea-bitten angel   
across my back  and wandered down the street   
to my dismay  there lay the other half...dissected   
in the middle of the road-  only recognizable by the pile of feathers   
strewn across the pavement  like barbie plastic melted in ice   
frozen in betrayal,   were my own perceptions of righteousness  
 
tattered  by the sight  of my flight  now fallen.....   
i knelt down and began to gather  the pieces in a last attempt to redeem   
my SELF.

so dear old dA.. it's been a long time since i actually spent some time with you.

apparently my last journal was last summer before i went on tour...
and now i've just come back from the second of this summer's tours.

anyways... i plan on visiting more often and even commenting when the time allows.

we'll see how this works out.
if all goes well... i might even start writing poetry again. (since dA was such a wealth of inspiration before...)

ive been going through a lot of my old old poetry (you know the silly ones about teenage angst and boys and the like)

and basically you were amazing. i dont know if i ever really thanked you for all your support when i was just starting out, so.. thank you.

i'll take a stroll through your gallery and just to let you know my style's changed quite a bit in the past 6 years. you might find some of it interesting.
